Our team at work has been experimenting with quarterly “spiritual days away,” and our final one of the year falls – coincidentally or no – today, on Halloween.
But it’s a simple idea: Make room in your calendar for an entire day with the Lord. Not a day to “study stuff related to work and call it a Quiet Time,” but truly to spend a day set apart. The focus may vary – and hopefully the agenda’s set by the Lord.
This can also be valuable to push your students toward. And among all it can provide when someone takes you up on it, it will also reveal something (to your students) when they aren’t willing to spend an day entirely alone, just themselves and the Father.
