Before the semester starts, I’d urge you to develop a plan to develop your “frontline” students – anyone involved in putting together your Large Group Meeting (or, if you have a different front door for your ministry, that activity). Specifically, my encouragement today is to get them visiting other college ministries – on your campus or otherwise.

It doesn’t take long to forget what being new feels like. So from the person who teaches from the stage to the guy running sound (and anyone at all who helps develop what you do at Large Group), send those people OUT occasionally to learn from other ministries and to learn from the experience of “visiting” itself.

(And yes, if you’re one of those people who helps plan the Large Group – and I bet you are – then you should be visiting occasionally, too.)
