Meanwhile, an addendum: This same sort of mentality – that our shepherding job doesn’t take a hiatus even though the academic calendar does – could apply to small groups, too.

What if your small group leaders carried out some small, regular impact over the Break? Whether by video (as described yesterday), written devos, emails, a Google video hangout, or other means, this would be far from difficult. And while it may take a couple of Breaks for students to get used to this, within a year or two, your students might even see this as normal.
