the campus-wide draw of Christmas service

I realize we’re barely into the semester, but I wanted to throw out something that may require a little planning.

Like so many Americans, unbelievers and believers alike on your campus will be in a “service mood” as Christmas approaches. I recognize our campuses aren’t generally open right up to Christmas, and depending on your own mission field, Finals Week is either a great or a terrible time for holding events.

But the fact remains, the approach of December might provide an opportunity to call students campus-wide to something beyond themselves. And that means those who aren’t part of your ministry serve alongside your students, see your ministry up-close, and maybe even get to hear our Christian reasons for serving.
