the expansion shift

Since I’ve been talking about major collegiate ministry shifts recently, today brings us to a very straightforward one. But it’s not easy.

Have you considered involving other campuses in your college ministry?

Very few colleges are actually isolated from any other campus; even big state schools often have a “feeder school” situated nearby. Have you ever considered reaching out to that campus?

I heard about a ministry just today, located at a major school, that is seeing students come from a couple of other (much less major) local schools. How cool is that?

The truth is, if you draw from other campuses, they’re likely to be campuses that have few if any campus ministries available. So while your calling, your preference, and your supporters’ preferences may all lie with one “main school”… have you considered staking out another mission field?

Quite a shift. Quite an opportunity, too.
