Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters… (Col. 3:23 NIV)

I have rarely – if ever – run across college ministers talking about work. We don’t usually think of our students as employees; their present jobs are often not their first priority OR the kinds of jobs that immediately garner attention.

But many of them are employees now, whether in “simple” jobs to gain a little spending money, jobs that help them attend school, or internships (paid or unpaid) that look toward future employment.

And they all plan to be employees.

So very simply, how often are we presenting series or messages or small group studies on “work as worship”? It’s one of the top ways we can send them out well.

Is part of your ministry assessment centered on how well your graduates are living out Colossians 3:23?
