the dissolution evaluation

Mid-school-year is a great time to ask this:

If you didn’t resume your college ministry activities this semester… would the campus care?

Without a doubt, I’m sure there would be some students who would wander about as ministry-less nomads, sad indeed that your ministry had dissolved. But what about the rest of the campus? Would other students be bummed to see you go? What about staff and faculty? Administration? Would other college ministers feel there’s a hole in the campus?

If the impact of our ministries – and the students who are a part of them – isn’t felt and known campus-wide, it’s hard to imagine we’re doing everything like we could, even if our primary focus is simply impacting individual students. Campus life is generally constructed in such a way that truly winsome impact should, eventually, become pretty obvious.
