I’ve written a few posts recently on the need to disciple our students when they’re away. But my fiancee reminded me last night that students may very well need help processing something very specific: the tragedy that happened last week in Newtown, Connecticut.

My encouragement today is to offer your students something to help them think about this and talk about this while they’re away from school. Maybe you’ve done some pondering, or maybe you can provide a link or a blurb from a trusted source that will help them process this Christianly.

Again, you’re still their best shepherd, even while they’re away.
