the fifty years later list

This past weekend, I had the chance to be around several married couples, while they were on a sort of retreat at a lakehouse in Central Texas. Among them were a former Miss America, a megachurch pastor, a pilot, former missionaries, and several other fascinating (and very nice) people. What’s more, each of these people (besides my own significant other) was around twice my age.

At different points during the weekend, each couple shared their testimonies of faith, including mentioning a few people who had the largest impact on them. That’s the point of this post – one simple question:

Are you facilitating relationships between college students and people they will remember on their “most influential list” in fifty years?

There’s no way you can personally be that to each of your students. So how’s it happening?
