quick summer idea #3: prep for the polls

This week, I’m posting some quick, practical ideas for summer, whether you presently have a campus ministry to attend to or not. Today’s idea is a way to use some hours this summer preparing for something I really wish you’d speak to in the Fall Semester.

The idea? Work through your own “theology of politics” and be ready to engage your students on that issue.

Everyone one of us will work this out differently – but every four years, we get an especially high-profile chance to teach our students about how God would have them interact with the country and its political system. Are you going to miss your chance this year? It’s doubtful you’ll have time in September to work through this issue, and if you’re working through it in October, you’re too late.

So here’s your chance.
