More notes from Catalyst for college ministry…
Seth Godin was one of the speakers from the secular world, and he did not disappoint. For anyone who happens to follow him, he was definitely walking the talk – a captivating presentation, mismatched socks, and, of course, a free book for all 12,000 of us.
It was such a thrill to see someone from the secular world be so well-received in front of his first large Evangelical audience (at least from what we were told). Not only that, but Seth seems to have appreciated us. I’m glad.
The key piece for college ministry? Seth’s new book, Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us, could be surprisingly relevant to what we do in ministry. Its insights may help us shepherd even better – and shepherd in a way today’s students especially respond to.
The book will be released this week, but we all got our free copies. So I’ll try to read it quick and report back.
